Tom Spencer

Tom Spencer was born in England, where he obtained a degree from Liverpool University in English, French and Education, and taught his mother tongue in Switzerland for nearly forty years. In 1983, he wrote A Structured English Grammar Course and this became The Golden Grammar Book in 1992. This new Fourth Edition is the fruit of some forty years of classroom experience in both state and private schools alike. The book has helped over sixty thousand students to develop a much deeper understanding, a greater appreciation and a far better use of the English language.
